SAE 30 is a single-grade, straight-weight viscosity rating, meaning the fluid maintains a consistent viscosity rather than adjusting across a wide temperature range like a multi-grade oil would. This makes it suited for equipment operated within moderate and stable temperature conditions where the OEM specifies a straight 30-weight fluid.

A 55-gallon drum is designed for high-volume users such as fleet operations, heavy equipment service shops, or facilities that regularly service multiple units requiring T04 fluid. It reduces per-unit cost and minimizes the need for frequent reordering compared to smaller container sizes.
