Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • T04 refers to the Allison Transmission C-4/TES-295 fluid specification, which defines the performance requirements for automatic transmissions that call for T04-rated fluid. If your equipment manufacturer or transmission service manual specifies Allison C-4 or T04 fluid, this product is designed to meet that requirement.

  • SAE 30 is a single-grade, straight-weight viscosity rating, meaning the fluid maintains a consistent viscosity rather than adjusting across a wide temperature range like a multi-grade oil would. This makes it suited for equipment operated within moderate and stable temperature conditions where the OEM specifies a straight 30-weight fluid.

  • A 55-gallon drum is designed for high-volume users such as fleet operations, heavy equipment service shops, or facilities that regularly service multiple units requiring T04 fluid. It reduces per-unit cost and minimizes the need for frequent reordering compared to smaller container sizes.

  • This is a ready-to-use transmission fluid and should be used as supplied without dilution or mixing with other fluids, as doing so could alter its viscosity or compromise its T04 performance specification.

  • Bulk drums should be stored in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and moisture, and kept tightly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination. Drums should be stored upright or on their side with the bungs positioned to minimize the risk of water ingress.
