Always check your equipment manufacturer's hydraulic fluid specification - if it calls for ISO VG 32, this product meets that requirement. If your system specifies a heavier grade such as ISO VG 46 or 68, a different viscosity should be used instead.

Zinc-based anti-wear additives, while effective, can be incompatible with certain yellow metals (brass, bronze, copper alloys) found in pumps and valves, and are restricted or disallowed in some environmentally sensitive operations. A zinc-free (ashless) formula like this one is required by several hydraulic pump and system manufacturers - particularly those specifying zinc-free or heavy-duty ashless fluids - and is a safer choice when metal compatibility or environmental impact is a concern.

Truegard AW 32 is engineered to support a wide variety of both industrial hydraulic systems (such as presses, machine tools, and stationary equipment) and mobile hydraulic applications (such as construction, agricultural, or material-handling machinery). Its combination of wear protection, thermal stability, and water separation make it suitable for demanding operating environments in either setting.

Good water separation (demulsibility) allows the oil to shed water contamination quickly, preventing emulsification that can degrade lubrication and corrode components. Effective air release minimizes foaming and helps reduce cavitation - a condition where air bubbles collapse violently inside pumps and valves, causing wear and noise. Together, these properties help maintain consistent hydraulic pressure and extend component life.

Mixing hydraulic fluids of different brands or additive chemistries is generally not recommended, as it can compromise the performance of both fluids. For a fluid changeover, it is best practice to drain and flush the system before filling with Truegard AW 32. For top-offs, confirm the existing fluid is also an AW 32 zinc-free mineral-based hydraulic oil before adding.
