Truegard concrete form oil is a low viscosity ready to use form release oil. Formulated to prevent bonding steel/ wood forms and concrete surfaces, a special additive package allows it to also be used on Teflon coated forms, as well as mold surfaces generally used in concrete pre-cast operations. CAM2 Concrete Form Oil improves the stripping of forms, and extends form life by protecting wood, and providing corrosion protection on metal forms.

FEATURES:

Truegard concrete form oil contains additives which impart characteristics most desired in these types of oils:

• Excellent low temperature properties
• Excellent rust and corrosion protection
• Excellent low misting properties
• Creates a positive barrier, preventing adherence of concrete
• Non-staining to most aggregates
• Applicable to multiple surfaces
• Easy clean up, leading to improved efficiencies
• Low odor

APPLICATIONS:

Truegard concrete form release oil is recommended for use with wood, steel, plastic, aluminum, fiberglass, and fiber tube forms. Truegard concrete form release oil can be applied by a variety of methods: including spraying, brushing,
mopping, dipping or rolling.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • No, Truegard Concrete Form Oil is a ready-to-use product and should be applied directly to form surfaces without dilution or mixing with other products.

  • A pour point of -40°F means the oil remains fluid and flowable at extremely low temperatures, so it will not gel or become difficult to pump and apply even in very cold climates, making it suitable for year-round use.

  • At 12.1 cSt this is a thin, free-flowing oil that spreads uniformly across form surfaces with minimal drag, which supports all listed application methods - spraying, brushing, mopping, dipping, and rolling - and helps avoid pooling or uneven coverage that could affect the concrete finish.

  • Many standard form release oils do not achieve reliable release on Teflon-coated surfaces, but this product includes a special additive package specifically designed to work on Teflon-coated forms as well as conventional mold surfaces used in pre-cast concrete operations.

  • The product is formulated to be non-staining to most aggregates, meaning it is unlikely to leave visible discoloration on exposed concrete after forms are stripped, which is particularly important for architectural or appearance-grade concrete work.

  • A flash point of 184°F classifies this oil as a combustible liquid, so it should be stored away from open flames, sparks, and sustained high heat sources; the low-odor formulation also reduces the need for heavy ventilation during spray or brush application compared to higher-odor alternatives.
