HANDLING AND STORAGE
All food grade lubricants should be stored separately from other lubricants, chemical substances and foodstuffs an-d out of direct sunlight or other heat sources. Store between 32°F and +100°F. Provided that the product has been stored under these conditions we recommend to use the product within 5 years from the date of manufacture. Upon opening a pack, the product must be used within 2 years (or Within 5 years of date of manufacture, whichever is the sooner).

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • ISO VG 100 indicates a mid-to-heavy viscosity hydraulic oil, making it well suited for systems that operate under heavier loads or at higher temperatures where a thinner oil might not maintain an adequate lubricating film. If your equipment manufacturer specifies an ISO 100 grade in the hydraulic system manual, this product is the appropriate match; for lighter-duty or cold-environment systems, a lower ISO grade may be more suitable.

  • A food grade designation means the oil is formulated with ingredients considered acceptable for use in machinery where incidental contact with food or food packaging may occur, which is a common requirement in food and beverage processing environments. The product is noted to have a neutral odor and taste, further reducing the risk of contamination in the event of minor incidental contact.

  • Yes - in addition to hydraulic systems and hydrostatic gears, this oil is suitable for plain and anti-friction bearings, light-duty gearboxes, and circulating oil systems, making it a versatile multi-application lubricant for food-processing machinery.

  • The product is stated to be compatible with the elastomers, gaskets, seals, and paints typically found in food machinery lubrication systems, which reduces the risk of seal degradation or swelling during a changeover. However, if your equipment currently uses a non-food-grade oil, a proper flush before introducing this product is advisable to avoid cross-contamination and maintain its food-safe status.

  • Unopened, the oil has a shelf life of up to 5 years from the date of manufacture when stored between 32°F and 100°F, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, other lubricants, chemicals, and foodstuffs. Once a container is opened, the oil should be used within 2 years, or within 5 years of the manufacture date, whichever comes first.

  • Storing food grade lubricants alongside non-food-grade oils, chemicals, or foodstuffs creates a risk of cross-contamination that could compromise the oil's food-safe status and potentially introduce harmful substances into food processing equipment. Keeping them segregated and in a controlled environment (32°F to 100°F, out of direct sunlight) also preserves the oil's performance properties and maximizes its usable shelf life.
