HANDLING AND STORAGE
All food grade lubricants should be stored separately from other lubricants, chemical substances and foodstuffs an-d out of direct sunlight or other heat sources. Store between 32°F and +100°F. Provided that the product has been stored under these conditions we recommend to use the product within 5 years from the date of manufacture. Upon opening a pack, the product must be used within 2 years (or Within 5 years of date of manufacture, whichever is the sooner).

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • Food grade lubricants are formulated to be safe for incidental contact with food or beverage products, making them suitable for use in food processing, packaging, and handling machinery where a leak or drip could reach consumables. This oil also features a neutral odor and taste, minimizing any sensory impact if trace contamination occurs.

  • ISO 32 is a relatively light viscosity grade, best suited for hydraulic systems that operate at higher speeds or in cooler ambient temperatures where lower resistance to flow is needed. If your equipment manufacturer specifies ISO 32 (AW 32 or HM 32), or if you operate in a cold environment, this grade is appropriate; systems in warmer conditions or under heavier loads may require ISO 46 or ISO 68.

  • Yes - the product is suitable for hydrostatic gears, plain and anti-friction bearings, light-duty gearboxes, and circulating oil systems, making it a versatile option for general-purpose food-machinery lubrication beyond dedicated hydraulic circuits.

  • According to the product data, it is compatible with the elastomers, gaskets, seals, and paints normally used in food machinery lubrication systems, so a changeover should not require replacing these components. If your machinery uses unusual or specialty seal materials, check with the equipment manufacturer to confirm compatibility.

  • Yes - the product guidelines specifically state that all food grade lubricants must be stored separately from other lubricants, chemical substances, and foodstuffs to prevent cross-contamination. Storage should also be away from direct sunlight and other heat sources, and kept between 32°F and 100°F.

  • In a sealed container stored under recommended conditions (32°F to 100°F, away from sunlight), the oil can be used within 5 years of the manufacture date. Once opened, it should be used within 2 years - or still within 5 years of manufacture, whichever comes first.
