HANDLING AND STORAGE
All food grade lubricants should be stored separately from other lubricants, chemical substances and foodstuffs an-d out of direct sunlight or other heat sources. Store between 32°F and +100°F. Provided that the product has been stored under these conditions we recommend to use the product within 5 years from the date of manufacture. Upon opening a pack, the product must be used within 2 years (or Within 5 years of date of manufacture, whichever is the sooner).

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • The "46" refers to the ISO VG 46 viscosity grade, meaning the oil has a kinematic viscosity of approximately 46 centistokes at 40°C. This is a mid-range viscosity commonly specified for industrial hydraulic systems operating at moderate temperatures and pressures - always check your equipment manufacturer's specification to confirm ISO VG 46 is the required grade before use.

  • Food grade lubricants are formulated to be safe in the event of incidental contact with food or food contact surfaces, which is critical in food and beverage processing environments. This oil is designed for hydraulic systems, hydrostatic gears, bearings, light duty gearboxes, and circulating oil systems where equipment operates in or around food production.

  • Yes - the product is stated to be compatible with the elastomers, gaskets, seals, and paints normally used in food machinery lubrication systems, reducing the risk of seal swelling, degradation, or paint damage when used as intended.

  • Yes - in addition to hydraulic systems, this oil is suited for hydrostatic gears, plain and anti-friction bearings, light duty gearboxes, and circulating oil systems, making it a versatile general-purpose food grade lubricant across multiple equipment types in a facility.

  • Store the oil separately from other lubricants, chemicals, and foodstuffs, between 32°F and 100°F, and away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Unopened, it is recommended for use within 5 years of the manufacture date; once opened, it should be used within 2 years of opening or within 5 years of manufacture, whichever comes first.

  • The product data does not specify compatibility with other lubricants, and food grade lubricants are generally required to be stored and handled separately from non-food grade products. It is best practice to fully drain and flush a system before switching lubricants to avoid contamination or performance issues.
