Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • This fluid is engineered to serve as a single fluid for multiple tractor systems simultaneously, including the hydraulic system, transmission, final drive, differential, power take-off (PTO) units, and wet brake systems - eliminating the need to stock and manage separate fluids for each circuit.

  • It meets a broad range of OEM specs, including John Deere J20A/B/C (Hy-Gard), Kubota UDT and Super UDT, Case/J.I. Case MS-1204 through 1210 and Hy-Tran Plus, Ford-New Holland M2C134-A through D, Massey-Ferguson M1135 Permatran III, Caterpillar TO-2, and many others - check the full applications table in the product listing to match the specific spec code your equipment requires.

  • The 10W winter rating combined with the -42°C pour point means the fluid flows adequately at very low ambient temperatures, supporting reliable cold-start lubrication and hydraulic function in cold climates. The viscosity index of 149 further indicates the fluid's viscosity remains relatively stable across a wide temperature range, so it also provides consistent protection at normal and elevated operating temperatures.

  • GL-4 certifies that the fluid provides the gear protection required for spiral bevel and hypoid gears operating under moderate-to-severe loads, which is typical of tractor final drives, differentials, and manual-type transmissions - making it appropriate for those components where a GL-5 fluid's higher sulfur content could potentially harm yellow-metal parts.

  • Yes - the fluid is specifically formulated with controlled frictional characteristics designed to allow wet brakes to hold properly and provide smooth engagement of PTO clutches, directly addressing brake chatter issues common in tractors with wet brake systems.

  • The superior detergent/dispersant package keeps sludge, varnish, and contaminants suspended and carried out during fluid changes rather than allowing them to build up on internal components, which helps extend the service life of hydraulic pumps, valves, and transmission components over time.
