This product is pre-diluted at a 50/50 propylene glycol-to-water ratio, so it can be added directly to a system without any additional mixing or dilution. This also eliminates the need to source and verify a quality water supply on-site.
It is formulated for closed-loop, water-based systems including HVAC, geothermal heat pumps, radiant floor heating and cooling, solar water heating, and industrial process heating and cooling. Verified buyers have used it successfully in geothermal and heat pump radiant floor systems.
Propylene glycol is preferred when low toxicity is a priority, such as in food industry applications, systems with incidental human contact risk, or installations where a spill could affect a sensitive environment. Unlike ethylene glycol, propylene glycol is suitable for food-adjacent use within the stated operating temperature range.
The lower limit means the fluid provides freeze protection down to -60°F, making it suitable for outdoor or unheated installations in very cold climates. The upper limit of 250°F means it can also handle elevated temperatures in process heating without degrading, covering a wide range of both heating and cooling applications in a single product.
The fluid is dyed pink specifically to aid in leak detection. If a leak develops anywhere in the system, the pink color makes it visually easy to identify the source during inspection, reducing diagnostic time.
Yes, this formulation includes an industrial corrosion inhibitor package. Corrosion inhibitors help protect the metals in a system (such as pipes, pumps, and heat exchangers) from degradation caused by prolonged fluid contact, extending system life and reducing maintenance needs compared to using plain water or uninhibited glycol.
