TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4000 SERIES-PREMIUM PRODUCTS BIO STABLE

TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4086 contains polyesters to provide exceptional performance on steel and aluminum machining.

TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4000 products are semi-synthetic coolant concentrates designed to outperform other coolants in every respect.

 Longevity

TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4000 products do not rely on sulfur containing emulsifiers, there-
by eliminating the source of food for odor causing bacteria.   These premium  coolants also will not emulsify hydraulic or way oil,  ensuring emulsion integrity and allowing easy tramp oil removal.

 Ultra Low Foaming

TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4000 products exhibit exceptionally low foaming tendencies, even under ultra high pressures.

  • Refractometer Factor: 1.1

  • TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4086 contains polyesters specifically formulated to deliver exceptional performance when machining both steel and aluminum, making it well-suited for shops that work with either or both materials.

  • A refractometer factor of 1.1 means you multiply your raw refractometer reading by 1.1 to get the true concentration of this coolant in your sump. This correction is necessary because semi-synthetic formulas can read slightly lower than their actual concentration on a standard refractometer, so applying the factor ensures you maintain the correct working dilution.

  • Bio-stability means the coolant resists bacterial growth, which is the primary cause of foul odors and shortened coolant life in sumps. TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4086 achieves this by eliminating sulfur-containing emulsifiers - the nutrient source that bacteria feed on - rather than relying on biocides that deplete over time.

  • Unlike conventional emulsifiable oils, TRUEGARD SUPERCOOL #4086 will not absorb or emulsify tramp hydraulic or way oil that enters the sump. Because the tramp oil stays separated, it floats to the surface and can be easily skimmed off, preserving emulsion integrity and extending the usable life of the coolant.

  • Yes. The product is engineered to exhibit exceptionally low foaming tendencies even under ultra-high pressures, making it a reliable choice for high-pressure through-spindle or flood coolant systems where excessive foam would otherwise interfere with machining and chip evacuation.

  • Semi-synthetic coolants occupy a middle ground: they contain a reduced oil content (compared to soluble oils) for lubrication and rust protection, while also offering the cleanliness, cooling efficiency, and long sump life more associated with full synthetics. For steel and aluminum machining environments that require both good lubricity and easy maintenance, a semi-synthetic is often the preferred balance.
