Which CASSIDA Lubricant Is Right for Your Equipment?

Different components require different lubricant properties. A hydraulic system does not have the same requirements as a gearbox, conveyor chain, or heavily loaded bearing.

CASSIDA Hydraulic Oils for Food Processing Equipment

CASSIDA hydraulic fluids are designed for hydraulic systems and other equipment operating in food and beverage processing environments.

Products such as CASSIDA FLUID HF 32, HF 46, and HF 68 are available in different ISO viscosity grades so the lubricant can be matched to the hydraulic system's operating requirements. FUCHS describes these products as anti-wear hydraulic fluids with properties including oxidation resistance, air release, foam control, and water separation.

How do I choose between ISO 32, 46, and 68 hydraulic oil?

The correct viscosity depends on the equipment manufacturer's specification, operating temperature, system design, and load.

As a general rule, lower viscosity grades flow more easily at lower temperatures, while higher viscosity grades maintain a thicker lubricating film under warmer or heavier operating conditions.

The equipment manufacturer's recommended ISO viscosity grade should always be the starting point.

Why are there so many different gear oil viscosities?

A gearbox may call for ISO 150, 220, 320, 460, or another viscosity depending on:

What Does NSF H1 Mean?

NSF H1 is a lubricant category for products intended for use in food-processing areas where incidental food contact may occur.

That does not mean the lubricant is intended to be added to food or used as a food ingredient.
