Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • HOCUT 767 is formulated for ferrous metals, including low and high carbon steels, cast iron, nodular and grey iron, and 52100 bearing steel. It is also an ideal coolant for glass grinding applications.

  • For grinding operations, a 5% concentration is recommended. For machining, the recommended range is 5–7%. Mixing at the correct concentration ensures you get the intended lubricity, corrosion protection, and surface finish performance.

  • Use an American Optical Refractometer to check the concentration β€” simply multiply the refractometer reading by 2.8 to calculate the actual product concentration percentage.

  • Yes β€” HOCUT 767 has low foaming characteristics, which makes it well suited for high-pressure applications as well as high feed and speed operations where foam buildup could otherwise cause issues.

  • Yes, HOCUT 767 is suitable for both centralized systems and single-sump machines. Its biostable, clean-running, and hard-water-compatible formulation supports consistent performance across large shared systems.

  • A biostable formulation resists microbial growth, which extends sump life and prevents the odor problems associated with bacterial degradation. This reduces the need for sump-side biocide additives and lowers waste treatment, disposal, and recharge costs over time.
