ShellZone DEX-COOL antifreeze is a powerful combination that provides superior protection against corrosion, freezing and boil-over. Because it's designed to work between -84 degrees F and 276 degrees F, it's the ideal choice for rugged environments and end-of-the-spectrum conditions.
DEX-COOL is available in two distinct types: a concentrate and a ready-to-use formula. It's a single-phase, ethylene glycol-based universal coolant, and the 50-50 formula is mixed with deionized water. ShellZone DEX-COOL is suitable for a five-year or 150,000-mile service life in heavy-duty applications that don't require nitrite.

- Extended Life - DEX-COOL 50/50 is made to go the distance. When used for automotive purposes DEX Cool lasts five years or 150,000 miles, reducing maintenance needs.
- Easy to Use - ShellZone DEX-COOL is ready to go the second you open it. It's a 50/50 formula that's already pre-diluted with deionized water. No mixing or extra supplies needed with this antifreeze.
- Use with Virtually Any Vehicle - DEX-COOL is made to be used in either gasoline or diesel engines. It also works great for heavy-duty applications that don't require nitrate.
If you prefer to mix the coolant yourself, DEX-COOL Concentrate is an alternative to the 50/50. The concentrated formula can be customized to better meet the needs of the environment you drive in. Recommended mixes include: 50/50, 60/40 and 70/30. It is not recommended to use concentrations higher that 70% antifreeze.
