TRUEGARD Spindle Oil 10 - 55 Gallon Drum

This oil is formulated specifically for the lubrication of high-speed machine tool spindles. It is a light-bodied, light-colored oil engineered to keep spindles and chucks operating freely without seizing.

The '10' refers to the viscosity grade - a very low, light-bodied viscosity that minimizes fluid friction at high rotational speeds. This makes it appropriate for high-speed spindles where a heavier oil would generate excess heat and drag; if your spindle operates at lower speeds or under higher loads, a higher-grade oil from the TRUEGARD Spindle Oil series may be more suitable.

Demulsibility is the oil's ability to shed water and separate cleanly from coolant or moisture rather than forming an emulsion. For machine tool spindles, this prevents water-contaminated oil from losing its lubricating film, which can cause spindles and chucks to seize shut - a key failure mode this oil is specifically formulated to resist.

TRUEGARD Spindle Oil 10 is compounded with additives that give excellent resistance to both wear and corrosion, helping to extend the service life of precision spindle components that are susceptible to surface damage and rust from moisture exposure.

This is a ready-to-use neat lubricating oil and does not require dilution. It is applied directly to the spindle lubrication system as supplied.

A 55-gallon drum is intended for shops with continuous or high-volume spindle lubrication needs, reducing the frequency of reordering and per-unit cost. TRUEGARD offers the Spindle Oil series in multiple package sizes, so if your consumption does not warrant a full drum, a smaller container may be more practical.
