Fritware® porous filter plates are also available separately in medium (45–90 microns) and coarse (90–130 microns) porosities, supported by a multiple ring grid with a non-porous peripheral ring that seals filter paper when used.

  • The fixed perforated plate is designed for coarse filtration or use with a cloth or paper filter, while the removable version — which is included with this funnel — is specifically suited for precious metals recovery applications where the plate needs to be taken out after filtration.

  • The removable hose barbed connector accepts 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tubing and threads directly into the 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel body, providing a secure vacuum connection.

  • Both the Fritware® porous and perforated filter plates operate across a temperature range from a minimum of -80°C (-112°F) to a maximum of 52°C (125°F), making them suitable for cold-temperature filtration as well as moderately warm applications.

  • Fritware® porous plates are 6.4mm (1/4") thick HDPE plates with controlled pore sizes — medium (45–90 microns) or coarse (90–130 microns) — suited for finer filtration with or without filter paper. Perforated plates have larger 4.8mm holes and are better suited for coarse bulk filtration, cloth or paper filter support, or precious metals recovery. Choose based on the particle size of your solids and whether you need to recover the filter cake intact.

  • The F36820-0118 funnel trowel is available for use with this funnel to quickly and efficiently smooth fissures that can appear in the filter cake during the filtration process.
