  • The coarse Fritware® fixed plate has a pore size range of 90–130 microns, making it well suited for filtering larger particulates where fast flow-through is the priority rather than fine particle capture.

  • Yes. The Fritware® plate is designed with a non-porous ring around its periphery that seals filter paper in place against the plate when used, allowing you to combine the plate with paper filtration media.

  • The removable hose barbed connector accepts 12.7mm (½") I.D. tubing and threads into the ¾" NPT bung on the funnel body, so standard vacuum tubing of that diameter will mate directly.

  • Both the funnel and the Fritware® filter plate are rated for a minimum of -20°C (-4°F) and a maximum of 52°C (125°F), so they are not suitable for use with hot filtrations that exceed that upper limit.

  • This model includes a fixed Fritware® plate, which is not designed to be removed. If you need to recover filtered solids — for example in precious metals recovery applications — a removable plate version is available as a separate option.

  • The F36820-0118 is a separately available funnel trowel designed to quickly and efficiently smooth cracks or fissures that can form in a filter cake during the filtration process, helping to maintain consistent flow through the plate.
