  • This funnel is compatible with two types of filter plates: Fritware® porous filter plates and perforated filter plates, both made of HDPE. Fritware® plates are available in medium (45–90 microns) and coarse (90–130 microns) porosities and are supported by a multiple ring grid with a non-porous peripheral ring that seals filter paper. Perforated plates feature 4.8mm (3/16") perforations on 11mm centers and are available in fixed or removable versions.

  • The fixed perforated plate is intended for coarse filtration or use with a cloth or paper filter, while the removable perforated plate is designed specifically for use in precious metals recovery applications where the plate needs to be taken out after filtration.

  • The removable hose barbed connector accepts 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tubing. The connector threads directly into the 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel body.

  • Both the Fritware® and perforated filter plates have a maximum use temperature of 52°C (125°F) and a minimum of -20°C (-4°F), making this funnel suitable for a range of laboratory filtration conditions within that range.

  • Yes. When used with a Fritware® porous filter plate, the non-porous ring at the periphery of the plate seals the filter paper in place. The fixed perforated plate can also be used with a cloth or paper filter for coarse filtration.
