  • This funnel is designed to work with either Fritware® porous filter plates or perforated filter plates, both made of HDPE. Fritware® plates are available in medium (45–90 microns) and coarse (90–130 microns) porosities, while perforated plates feature 4.8mm perforations on 11mm centers and come in fixed or removable versions.

  • The fixed perforated plate is intended for coarse filtration or use with a cloth or paper filter, while the removable perforated plate is designed specifically for use in precious metals recovery applications.

  • The funnel includes a removable hose barbed connector that accepts 12.7mm (½") I.D. tubing. The connector threads into a ¾" NPT bung on the funnel body.

  • Both the Fritware® and perforated filter plates, as well as the funnel body, are rated for a maximum temperature of 52°C (125°F) and a minimum of -20°C (-4°F).

  • Each Fritware® porous plate includes a non-porous ring around the periphery of the plate. This ring creates a seal with filter paper when it is used, helping to prevent unfiltered liquid from bypassing the filter medium at the edges.

  • A funnel trowel is not included with this funnel. The F36820-0118 funnel trowel is a separately available accessory used to quickly and efficiently smooth fissures that can appear in the filter cake during the filtration process.
