This is a universal-type spill kit, which means it is equipped to handle a broad range of liquid spills. The absorbent components — including 100 universal pads, 10 universal large socks, and 16 universal small socks — are all universal-grade materials suited for general-purpose spill response.

This kit has a total absorption capacity of up to 62 gallons (235 liters), even though it is stored in a 95-gallon drum. The drum provides extra space to contain and store used absorbents and waste after a spill is cleaned up.
