Grease Package - 400 lb

A 50:1 ratio means the pump delivers 50 PSI of grease pressure for every 1 PSI of compressed air supplied, allowing this pump to move heavy, high-viscosity greases efficiently from a 400-lb drum. This high mechanical advantage makes it well suited for shop environments where consistent, high-pressure grease delivery is required.

The package includes the stationary air-operated grease pump with the 3" Aro "Thunder" air motor, a drum cover, a 3-foot air connecting hose, and a 4-foot material hose. The follower plate, which is recommended for sealing the drum and drawing grease efficiently, must be ordered separately using part number 640015-1.

"Stationary" indicates this pump is designed to be set up in a fixed location on a single 400-lb drum rather than used as a portable unit. While it is physically possible to move it, it is engineered and intended for permanent or semi-permanent installation in a service bay or lube room.

This pump is specifically designed for a 400-pound (roughly 55-gallon) grease drum. The included drum cover is sized accordingly, and the follower plate (640015-1, sold separately) is also matched to this drum size.

The Aro "Thunder" air motor pump carries a five-year limited warranty. This covers the pump assembly itself; consult American Lubrication for specific terms and conditions on the included accessories.

A follower plate presses down on the grease surface inside the drum as it empties, preventing air pockets and ensuring the pump can draw grease all the way to the bottom with minimal waste. While the pump can operate without one, ordering the follower plate (part number 640015-1) separately is strongly recommended for reliable, efficient performance.
