Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • This pump is designed for oils and other noncorrosive liquids. It should not be used with corrosive chemicals or fluids that would react with heavy-duty cast iron, as the pump body is constructed from that material.

  • The pump features a 2-inch base designed to fit standard drum bung openings, making it compatible with typical 55-gallon oil drums. The telescoping suction pipe extends from 22" to 40", accommodating various drum depths.

  • The pump dispenses exactly one quart or one liter per full handle rotation, and it includes an easy calibration feature so you can verify and fine-tune measurement accuracy for either unit of measure.

  • The standard swing return drain tube redirects residual drips or overflow back into the drum after dispensing, keeping the work area clean and reducing fluid waste or spills on the floor.

  • Yes, the pump includes a padlock-compatible design, allowing you to lock it in place on the drum to prevent unauthorized dispensing or accidental use in a shared shop or storage environment.

  • A rack and pinion mechanism converts the rotary handle motion into precise, linear pumping action, which contributes to the consistent quart-per-rotation output and makes calibration more reliable compared to a simple piston design.
