TRUEGARD #1290 Cutting Oil is a medium duty oil intended for use in most machining operations of steel alloys. TRUEGARD #1290 Cutting Oil is fortified with active sulfur and fat to improve part finish, tool life, and productivity.

TRUEGARD #1290 Cutting Oil is a moderately viscous oil in order to provide the needed properties for severe machining operations.  This 100% virgin mineral oil offers the improved film strength and reduced misting potential required for drilling, tapping, threading , broaching, gear cutting and forming of steel alloys.  The ability of the oil to support heavy loadings is especially important when machining stainless steel or exotic alloys.  The structure of these materials often prevents adequate extreme pressure lubrication.

TRUEGARD #1290 Cutting Oil contains a balanced blend of sulfur and fat to lubricate under severe conditions.  These materials work together to prevent destructive metal to metal welding during the machining process.  As a result, finish is improved and tool life is extended.  Unlike conventional sulferized oils, TRUEGARD #1290 Cutting Oil provides this extreme pressure lubricity starting at a much lower cutting temperature.  This property allows performance enhancements normally associated with much heavier duty oils.

TRUEGARD #1290 Cutting Oil is designed for recirculating systems, however the nature of this material allows it to be brushed, rolled, or sprayed onto parts prior to many forming and machining operations.
