Keller-Heartt TRUEGARD® Ethylene Glycol Heat Transfer Fluid 100% is a fully-formulated ethylene glycol- based heat transfer fluid containing an inhibitor and additive package that controls corrosion of metals, helps prevent scaling and the fouling of heat transfer surfaces, and buffers the pH to maintain it in the optimum operating range.

Heat transfer fluid formulation of ethylene glycol and a specially designed package of industrial corrosion inhibitors. This fluid is dyed fluorescent pink for leak detection. Solutions in water provide freeze protection to below -60 degrees F and burst protection to -100 degrees F. Suitable applications: closed loop, water-based haul, process heating and cooling, food industry applications within temperature range. -60 degrees F to 250 degrees F.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
  • The '50/50' designation means the fluid is already pre-mixed at a 50% ethylene glycol concentration with water, so it can be charged directly into your system without any further dilution.

  • Freeze protection to below -60°F means the fluid resists solidifying down to that temperature, while burst protection to -100°F means the fluid remains pliable enough at even lower temperatures to avoid rupturing system components - an important distinction for systems in extremely cold environments.

  • It is formulated for closed-loop systems, water-based haul, process heating and cooling, and food industry applications, all within its stated operating temperature range of -60°F to 250°F.

  • The specially designed industrial corrosion inhibitor package controls metal corrosion, prevents scaling and fouling of heat transfer surfaces, and buffers the fluid's pH within the optimum operating range - helping to extend both equipment life and fluid service intervals.

  • The fluorescent pink dye is included specifically for leak detection, making it easier to spot system leaks visually during routine inspections or maintenance checks.

  • Yes, the product is listed as suitable for food industry applications within its operating temperature range of -60°F to 250°F. Buyers with specific regulatory or certification requirements should verify compliance with applicable standards, as no additional food-grade certifications are detailed in the product data.
